Security Guard
Reports to: Security Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Security Location: Buckeye, Arizona Pay Range: $16.00 - 19.00/hour

Position Summary:
The Security Guard at Mint Cannabis plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our team members, patients/customers, and retail operations. This position is responsible for monitoring activity on-site, enforcing security policies, and maintaining a welcoming but secure environment for all guests and staff. The ideal candidate is observant, calm under pressure, and committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct routine patrols of the premises to deter theft, monitor behavior, and report suspicious activity * Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized personnel and guests enter secure areas * Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including basic first aid if required * Maintain clear and accurate incident reports, security logs, and shift summaries * Enforce company policies and compliance regulations to ensure a safe environment * Deliver professional customer service by assisting patients, customers, and employees with information, directions, or support * Coordinate with management and local authorities when necessary during incidents or emergencies * Support daily operations by helping with crowd control, ID verification, and line management during peak hours

Qualifications:
* 1+ year of professional security experience preferred * Strong observational and decision-making skills * Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills * Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or emergency situations * Must be comfortable enforcing policies and protocols consistently and respectfully * Must be at least 21 years of age * Valid state-issued identification * High school diploma or equivalent required
Education and Certifications:
* High school diploma or GED required * Formal security training or certification is a plus but not required
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs * Must be able to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods * Ability to travel between nearby store locations as needed
Work Environment:
* On-site, retail dispensary environment * High customer traffic with potential for exposure to loud environments, outdoor temperatures, and long periods on foot * Schedule varies and may include weekends, holidays, and night shifts
Travel Requirements:
* Minimal travel required between local Mint Cannabis locations
