About the role

What we’re all about.

Quantexa is a global leader in AI-powered Decision Intelligence. As one of the UK's fastest-growing tech companies, we're on a mission to help organizations make better, more trusted decisions. As we continue our rapid global expansion, we are looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our dynamic Group Reporting team.

At Q, we’re looking for people who share that vision. People like you.

The opportunity.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a fast-paced, high-growth global technology environment. Sitting in our Group Reporting team, you will play a key role in supporting the month-end close, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance across multiple international entities.

This role offers valuable exposure to global operations, complex cost structures, and cutting-edge financial systems. Beyond standard transactional accounting, you will have direct opportunities to lead financial analysis, generate commercial insights, and collaborate cross-functionally with teams across our business.

What you’ll be doing.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

* Perform monthly P&L analysis, investigating and documenting key movements, trends, and variances.

* Prepare and present insightful month-end commentary to the Finance Manager and wider team.

* Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring any differences are fully explained and resolved.

* Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and strategic project work.

Month-End Close & Cost Management

* Prepare expense accrual and prepayment journals at month-end.

* Contribute to the maintenance of the Group’s fixed asset registers.

* Support the Accounts Payable team with timely invoice processing and accurate cost coding.

* Review pending/disputed bills and new purchase requests to determine and post adequate accruals.

* Collaborate on wider month-end close tasks across various Group entities.

Audit & Tax Compliance

* Assist with Group audit information requests and statutory requirements.

* Prepare VAT workings and returns in line with local tax regulations.

* Assist with the preparation of annual corporate tax returns for regulatory filings.

* Ensure strict compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and high-quality documentation standards.

Technology & Process Improvement

* Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and enhance reporting efficiency.

* Support the adoption and integration of new finance tools and ERP systems into daily workflows.

What you’ll bring.

* Experience: A solid background in finance, ideally gained in a similar management accounting or assistant accountant role.

* Qualification: Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent progress.

* Technical Accounting: A robust understanding of accruals, prepayments, and the rhythm of a month-end close.

* International Exposure: Prior experience with multi-entity accounting and international operations is highly desirable.

* Systems & Excel: Strong Microsoft Excel skills are a must; familiarity with ERP systems (such as NetSuite) and automation tools is a plus.

* Mindset: An analytical thinker who is comfortable turning raw data into actionable business insights.

* Communication: Excellent communication skills with the confidence to partner with global teams.

* Adaptability: A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

Our perks and quirks.

What makes you Q will help you to realise your full potential, flourish and enjoy what you do, while being recognised and rewarded with our broad range of benefits.

We offer:

* Competitive salary & Company bonus

* 25 days annual leave (with the option of buying up to 5 days, and rolling over up to 10), plus national holidays + your birthday off!

* Pension scheme with a company contribution of 6% (when you contribute 3%)

* Life Insurance and Income Protection
