Summary
The Service Manager is responsible for leading the dealership’s service department and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, efficient operations, and strong financial performance. This role oversees service advisors and technicians, manages daily workflow, monitors department performance, and ensures repairs are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the daily operations and workflow of the service department. * Lead, train, coach, and develop service advisors and technicians. * Monitor department performance, productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability. * Ensure repairs are properly diagnosed, documented, authorized, and completed in a timely manner * Address customer concerns and ensure high-quality service experience. * Maintain compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and safety requirements. * Partner with dealership leadership to achieve overall business objectives and continuously improve service operations.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of automotive service or dealership experience, with prior leadership or management experience preferred. * Strong knowledge of automotive repair, maintenance, service operations, and manufacturer standards. * Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate service advisors and technicians in a fast-paced environment. * Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to resolve customer concerns professionally. * Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed departmental goals, including customer satisfaction, sales, productivity, and profitability. * Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with excellent attention to detail. * Ability to comply with dealership and manufacturer safety policies.
Additional Requirements:
* Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. * Ability to successfully complete pre-employment requirements, including background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.
Additional Information
Compensation:
* $100,000 to $150,000 * Salary plus bonus
(The Service Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value or amount of revenue and profits achieved from the Service Department from $0.00 (if quotas are not met) without any upper limit other than department performance. The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.)
Schedule:
* Full Time * Monday through Saturday availability * Sundays off
