About the role
We are looking for a Senior Data Steward to support data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives in a banking environment. The role focuses on BCBS239-related activities, including resolving data quality issues, maintaining business glossaries, implementing data quality controls, and defining data lineage in close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives
* Contribute to BCBS239 activities, including data quality issue resolution and control implementation
* Maintain business glossaries and document data lineage
* Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to improve data management practices
* Translate business needs into technical requirements and support delivery using SQL, JIRA, and Confluence
Must-Have Requirements:
* Experience in data governance, data management, or similar roles
* Experience in the banking or financial services industry
* Strong SQL skills and data analysis capabilities
* Understanding of data warehousing and reporting concepts
* Knowledge of database structures
* Experience with MS Office, JIRA, and Confluence
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
* Excellent communication skills
* Fluent English written and spoken
Nice to Have:
* Regulatory reporting experience
* Knowledge of BCBS239
* Business knowledge of banking products, systems, and processes
* Experience with data lineage frameworks
