The Opportunity

Are you an engineer who loves technology but is equally interested in customers, business and building relationships?

As part of Analog Devices’ Early Career Program, you will join our Field Applications organization and develop toward a broader customer-facing commercial role, with the potential to grow into Account Management.

You will work with experienced Field Applications Engineers (FAE) and Account Managers to understand customers from both a technical and business perspective: their products, organizations, priorities, challenges and future opportunities.

The role gives you a strong technical foundation while deliberately developing the customer engagement, communication and commercial skills required to build and grow strategic customer relationships.

What you will develop

* Build a broad understanding of ADI technologies and their application in customer systems

* Understand customers’ products, architectures, organizations and business priorities

* Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customers

* Identify customer needs and translate them into technical and business opportunities

* Work with Field Applications Engineers and ADI business units to develop customer solutions

* Support the development and expansion of customer accounts

* Learn opportunity management, account planning and strategic customer engagement

* Present ADI technologies and value propositions to both technical and business audiences

* Develop negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills

* Spend significant time shadowing experienced FAEs and Account Managers and engaging directly with customers

Who we are looking for

* Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Embedded Systems, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering or a related discipline

* 0-2 years of professional experience

* Genuine interest in both technology and business

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Natural curiosity about customers and how their businesses operate

* Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly

* Proactive, entrepreneurial and customer-oriented mindset

* Strong collaboration and organizational skills

* Interest in developing commercial skills alongside technical capabilities

* Ability to travel 25-40% of time

* Driving license

* Previous exposure to industrial applications is a plus

Where this can take you:  The goal of this track is to develop a technically credible customer leader capable of owning and growing strategic customer relationships, with a natural progression toward an Account Manager role.
