PAY RANGE:
$16.250 - $36.25 Hourly
HOURS: Evenings 2pm-7pm
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position plans and leads martial arts activities – providing a safe and nurturing environment for children of various ages. The enrichment Instructor will work as part of a staff team to support the growth of each child and building a relationship with each family. Reports directly to the Membership Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
* Sets up age appropriate physical environment to meet the needs of children – modifiable as age groups change * Plans sports skill stations and daily plans * Greets children and parents as they arrive * Interacts with children at all times * Provides information to parents regarding their child(ren), Y programs and resources * Puts away equipment at the end of last class * Reports any equipment safety concerns to supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
* TB Clearance
Skills & Knowledge:
* Knowledge of preschool, school age, and/or high school participants is preferred. * Knowledge of working with parents/families
Education & Training:
* Background in sports, coaching, and/or instructing * First Aid, CPR, AED certification * Completion of various YMCA trainings within the allotted time frame after hire
