About the role

Maintenance Electrician – Lakeshore Sport & Fitness

Why Lakeshore – A Place to Grow, Contribute, and Connect

We lead with our values: Professionalism, Ownership, Team, Quality, and Positivity, and we live them daily. Whether it’s launching a new kids camp, stepping in to assist a family at the front desk, or recognizing a trainer’s impact, we show up with care and high standards. Our facilities are impressive, but it’s our team culture and commitment to a seamless member experience that make this a truly special place to work and grow.

About the Role

Our clubs run on great facilities, and we’re looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to help keep them safe, reliable, and running at their best. You’ll handle electrical installation, repair, and preventive maintenance across our club, from lighting and power to fitness equipment, pools, courts, and building systems. You’ll also be part of a hands-on facilities team that takes pride in every detail of the member experience.

What You’ll Do

* Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, panels, circuits, outlets, and controls * Support electrical needs for fitness equipment, pool and spa systems, HVAC, kitchens, courts, and studios * Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to keep systems safe and up to code * Respond quickly to electrical issues and service requests to minimize member impact * Read and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams * Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors on larger projects and permitted work * Keep accurate records of work orders, repairs, and maintenance * Support other facility maintenance projects as needed

What You Bring

* 3+ years of commercial or facility electrical experience * Journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification preferred * Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and safety practices * Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently * Comfort working on ladders and lifts, in tight spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs * Dependability, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership * Availability for occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, or on-call needs

Pay & Benefits

Pay: $25 – $35 per hour, based on experience and certifications.

Full-time team members:

* Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Short- and long-term disability insurance * Voluntary life insurance * 401(k) * Paid time off (PTO) * Complimentary family membership, childcare for team members’ children, and 50% off club services * Employee Financial Relief Program, daily discounted employee meal program, and free parking

Part-time team members:

* 401(k) (eligibility requirements apply) * Paid leave under the Chicago Paid Leave Ordinance * Complimentary club membership, childcare for team members’ children, and 50% off club services * Daily discounted employee meal program and free parking

The pay range above reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Final pay is based on each candidate’s experience, qualifications, and fit for the role. If you’re interested but this role doesn’t line up perfectly with what you’re looking for, we encourage you to apply. We’re always happy to start a conversation.
