About the role
Role: AS400 Developer & Support Location: Renton, WA (4 Days Onsite) Key Responsibilities: * Develop, maintain, and enhance applications on AS400 (IBM i) platform * Write and optimize programs using RPG (RPG III/IV, RPGLE, Free Format RPG) * Design, query, and manage DB2 databases * Provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshooting and resolving system issues * Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes * Collaborate with business and technical teams for requirement analysis and enhancements * Support system upgrades, patches, and performance tuning initiatives * Ensure documentation of processes, code changes, and support activities
Required Skills: * Strong experience with AS400 (IBM i) systems * Proficiency in RPG (RPGLE / Free Format RPG) * Hands-on experience with DB2 database (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning) * Experience in application support and incident management * Good understanding of system integrations and batch processing * Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
