The role supports recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, timekeeping, and employee relations under the direction of HR leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, applicant communication, interview scheduling, reference checks, and hiring paperwork. * Prepare onboarding materials, coordinate orientation, and track completion of required employment forms, policy acknowledgments, and training. * Maintain accurate employee records in BambooHR and personnel files, including changes to employee status, schedules, compensation, and contact information. * Assist with benefits enrollment, employee questions, and communication with benefit providers. Refer complex issues to HR leadership. * Support payroll preparation by reviewing timecards, earned time requests, and supporting records; follow up with supervisors to resolve discrepancies before payroll deadlines. * Assist with leave administration by organizing documentation, tracking deadlines, and coordinating follow-up under HR leadership’s direction. * Respond to routine employee and supervisor questions about policies and HR procedures. Preferred Qualifications

* SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification; other recognized HR certifications will also be considered. * Two to three years of human resources experience, preferably in a generalist or HR support role. * Experience with recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, timekeeping, or payroll support. * Experience with BambooHR or a similar HR information system. * Experience in a healthcare, nonprofit, or community health center setting.

This role may be performed in person or remotely and involves regular computer use, reviewing records, and communicating with employees and supervisors. Remote work requires a reliable internet connection, a private workspace that protects confidential employee information, and availability for scheduled meetings and employee support. Essential functions may be performed with reasonable accommodation.

Scope of the Role

The HR Generalist provides operational support and follows established policies and procedures. HR leadership retains responsibility for final decisions involving employee relations, corrective action, policy interpretation, and other sensitive employment matters.
