Job Description
This is a 12-month contract role.
The Warehouse Operations Specialist will support day-to-day warehouse operations while also contributing to the setup, layout, processes, and procedures of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform hands-on warehouse and floor operations as needed. * Support the design, setup, and organization of warehouse space, workflows, and processes. * Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, safety, organization, and overall operations. * Participate in meetings related to warehouse setup, operations, and process improvement. * Serve as a delegate or team representative at designated meetings when primary team members have scheduling conflicts. * Communicate meeting updates, decisions, and action items back to the appropriate team members. * Assist with coordinating and implementing agreed-upon warehouse changes. * Work collaboratively with warehouse employees, supervisors, and cross-functional teams. * Balance daily warehouse responsibilities with assigned project and coordination activities.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment. * Strong understanding of warehouse operations and floor activities. * Ability to identify operational issues and contribute practical solutions. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Ability to participate effectively in meetings and represent the warehouse team when delegated. * Ability to work independently while also collaborating with multiple teams. * Comfortable balancing hands-on work with planning, coordination, and project responsibilities. * ERP system familiarity
Preferred Qualifications:
* IFS ERP system familiarity * Experience in the biotech or medical device industry is a plus. * Experience operating forklifts and other powered equipment is a plus.
