The Job
We are hiring an experienced Heavy Machinery Operator to operate and test large 20-ton mining vehicles. This position involves safely driving heavy equipment, completing inspections, and providing feedback to engineering teams.
What You’ll Do
* Operate and back 20-ton mining vehicles * Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections * Complete DVIRs and report equipment issues * Support vehicle hardware and software testing * Provide feedback to engineers on vehicle performance * Operate other fleet vehicles when needed * Follow all safety and DOT requirements
Requirements
* 5+ years of heavy equipment operating experience * Experience with rigid-frame or articulated haul trucks preferred * Comfortable operating and backing large mining vehicles * Clean driving record * Able to pass background check, road test, drug test, MVR, and DOT physical * Able to drive for extended periods * CDL-A is a plus, but not required * Interest in autonomous vehicle technology
Travel
Must be willing to travel up to 50%. Initial training may take place in Sunol, CA before working in Safford, AZ.
