The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving business change, process improvement, and technology transformation initiatives across multiple workstreams.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and a proven track record of delivering business analysis activities within complex environments. Experience within the financial services sector is highly desirable, particularly in supporting regulatory, operational, risk, data, or technology change programmes.

Responsibilities

* Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business requirements through workshops, interviews, process reviews, and stakeholder engagement activities. * Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, architects, and technical teams to define solutions that meet business needs. * Produce high-quality documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, User Stories, Process Maps, Gap Analyses, and Data Requirements. * Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, define scope, and achieve agreement on project deliverables. * Analyse current business processes and identify opportunities for operational improvement, automation, efficiency gains, and cost reduction. * Support the development of target operating models, business process redesign, and transformation initiatives. * Work closely with development and testing teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and accurately implemented. * Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, test execution, defect management, and business sign-off. * Conduct impact assessments, risk analysis, and change management activities where required. * Support programme governance by providing updates, status reports, requirements traceability, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle. * Ensure solutions align with organisational objectives, regulatory requirements, and best practice standards.

Qualifications

* Proven experience working as a Business Analyst within large-scale change, transformation, or technology programmes. * Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, frameworks, and best practices. * Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting complex business and functional requirements. * Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities. * Experience working with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies. * Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a fast-paced environment. * Experience facilitating workshops and leading requirements-gathering sessions. * Experience within banking, financial services, capital markets, insurance, or other regulated environments is desirable. * Knowledge of regulatory change initiatives and industry standards is advantageous. * Familiarity with data analysis, process modelling, and business process improvement techniques is beneficial. * Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms is preferred. * Professional certifications such as BCS Business Analysis, CBAP, Agile BA, or equivalent are desirable. * Eligibility to meet BPSS clearance requirements. * Ability to work onsite in Sheffield three days per week. * Willingness and ability to work through an umbrella company under PAYE arrangements.
