About the role
Job Description
The Catering Lead plans, organizes and executes the catering business for an Eataly location. Reports to the Retail Manager.
* Creates proposals, contracts, event orders and packages tailored to each guest’s requests * Negotiates executive partnerships to sell catering packages for breakfast, lunch, dinner and largescale events * Oversees catering events from start to finish: books, plans and executes functions * Executes all off-site catering for offices and VIP clients, coordinating delivery services and pickup business * Acts as a trainer for team members on catering operations * Communicates product and staffing needs for catering events on a daily basis * Manages catering call-backs from orders delivered same day to ensure 100% guest satisfaction * Handles and resolves complaints/accolades and communicates results to managers * Ensures catering collateral is displayed and stocked in the store at all times: catering menus, catering table, business cards, etc. * Performs other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in catering/sales management * Excellent communication skills * Ability to multitask in a fluid environment * Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Job Requirements
* Availability to work a flexible scheduling often including nights, weekends and holidays * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds * Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
