Position: Computational Genomics, Statistical Bioinformatics Expert (PhD) Type:Contract Compensation:$120/hour Location:Remote
Role Responsibilities
* Complete realistic, multi-step scientific data-analysis tasks in computational genomics, quantitative biology, and translational biomedicine. * Independently inspect datasets, perform quality control, and execute analyses in R and Python. * Navigate ambiguous research workflows by identifying key analytical decisions and potential confounders. * Use scientific software, code, and command-line tools to generate reproducible analyses and structured outputs. * Interpret results in the context of biological or translational questions, communicating assumptions and conclusions. * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and AI research specialists.
Qualifications
Must-Have
* PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistical genetics, quantitative biology, biostatistics, genomics, or related field. * Deep experience analyzing biological or biomedical data, especially genomics and related omics datasets. * Professional fluency in R and Python. * Strong foundation in statistical modeling and experimental design. * Experience with multi-step computational research workflows. * Clear scientific writing and documentation skills.
Preferred
* Familiarity with reproducible research practices, including notebooks, scripts, and version control.
