Sundry Shop / Café Supervisor
Picasso Restaurant Group – Mug Life Café Location: University of Michigan–Dearborn
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 10:30 AM–8:30 PM Pay: $19–$21 per hour (based on experience)
Picasso Restaurant Group is seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Sundry Shop / Café Supervisor to join our team at Mug Life Café, located at the University of Michigan–Dearborn!
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can confidently oversee daily operations while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations of the sundry shop and café. * Supervise and support café team members. * Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff. * Assist with preparing and serving food, coffee, and beverages. * Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions. * Monitor inventory, restock merchandise, and maintain displays. * Ensure cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards. * Manage closing procedures and ensure the café is ready for the following day. * Maintain a positive, efficient, and welcoming environment.
Qualifications
* Previous café, retail, or food service experience required. * Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Dependable, organized, and able to multitask. * Comfortable handling cash and operating POS systems. * Ability to work independently and lead by example.
