About the role
Summary Provost & Pritchard is looking for a motivated candidate to join our Geostructural team. Our Geostructural division works on wine cave tunnel complexes, private residential tunnels, water-district tunnels and canals, and earth-retention structures.
Duties
Candidates must show an understanding of basic civil engineering principles and be able to apply their knowledge in a practical manner.
* Perform engineering calculations for tunnel and retaining wall design with the support of and under the direction of a licensed engineer * Assist in the preparation of construction drawings using AutoCAD * Prepare design reports * Perform construction inspections * Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by designated personnel
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering * 0-3 years of experience preparing engineering calculations and conducting research * Experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D a plus * Written and oral communication skills * Exceptional problem-solving skills * Team player with service-oriented (client focused) mentality * Motivated self-starter * EIT obtained or in progress highly desired * Goal to become a licensed professional engineer within 3 years of hire
Compensation: $37-48
