About the role
Gulf Coast College is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our team. Our janitorial staff help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
* Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
* Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
* Restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
* Clean windows, doors, and frequently touched surfaces.
* Follow cleaning schedules and safely use and store cleaning products and equipment.
* Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, and supply shortages.
* Assist with other routine cleaning and campus upkeep as assigned.
Qualifications
* Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
* Reliable attendance, punctuality, and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and complete assigned tasks.
* Professional and respectful conduct when interacting with students and employees. * Ability to perform essential cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving cleaning supplies and equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Available Schedules
Full-time and part-time positions are available for day and evening shifts. Weekends may be required. Please indicate your preferred schedule and availability when applying.
