Interstate Towing is hiring experienced Heavy-Duty Wrecker & Recovery Operators who know how to handle serious equipment, difficult scenes, and the responsibility that comes with both.
Weโre looking for operators who can rig it, winch it, lift it, recover it, and clear the scene safely.

When the call comes in, youโll work closely with Dispatch to understand the situation, get the right equipment rolling, and handle the job professionally from arrival through final clearance.
WHAT YOUโLL DO:
๐น Respond to Dispatch and arrive safely, prepared, and ready to work
๐น Operate heavy-duty wreckers, rotators, and recovery equipment
๐น Recover tractors, trailers, commercial vehicles, and equipment from accidents, breakdowns, rollovers, and complex scenes
๐น Perform winching, rigging, lifting, uprighting, and recovery operations
๐น Assess each scene and determine the safest, most effective recovery approach
๐น Transport recovered vehicles to customer destinations, repair facilities, or impound yards
๐น Complete thorough truck and equipment inspections
๐น Perform preventive maintenance and report mechanical defects immediately
๐น Maintain accurate paperwork and clean, detailed recovery documentation
๐น Follow all applicable size, weight, route, hours-of-service, DOT, and company safety requirements
๐น Communicate professionally with Dispatch, customers, law enforcement, first responders, and others on scene
๐น Represent Interstate like a professional every time you step out of the truck

THE MUST-HAVES:
โ Valid Class A CDL
โ Proven experience operating heavy-duty wreckers
โ Real-world heavy recovery experience
โ Strong winching and rigging skills
โ Experience handling rollovers and complex recovery scenes
โ The judgment to adapt when the job doesnโt go according to plan
โ Clean driving record with no recent moving or driving violations
โ Comfortable using electronic equipment, dispatch systems, and telematics software
โ Ability to operate safely around traffic, weather, heavy equipment, and changing roadside conditions
โ Strong communication and customer-service skills
โ Reliability โ when the call comes in, we need you ready
