About the role
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing surveillance techniques and conflict management skills to prevent incidents and ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and patrol designated areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises. * Check in and out employees at lobby desk post. * Check in and out trucks at the guard shack post. * Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing first aid as necessary. * Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential hazards or security breaches. * Manage conflicts effectively by employing de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution skills. * Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts. * Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure compliance with regulations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in security * Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure. * Able to work a smart phone and tablet. * Excellent observational skills with attention to detail. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Must possess a valid security officer certification where applicable.
