About the role
Franklin Precision Castings is seeking a detail-oriented Finishing Operator to join our team. This role is critical to the final stages of our investment casting process, ensuring all products meet quality standards. Key Responsibilities
* Inspect finished castings to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications * Operate grinding equipment, including hand belt grinders * Perform drill press operations and cut-off saw tasks * Use water blasting equipment to remove ceramic material from castings * Assist with pouring molten metal as needed * Conduct thorough inspections and identify defects or non-conformances * Safely operate finishing tools and equipment * Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals * Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area * Report quality or safety concerns promptly to supervisors
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred * Previous manufacturing or finishing experience is a plus * Strong attention to detail and ability to identify imperfections * Basic knowledge of finishing tools and techniques preferred * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment * Good communication skills and a positive attitude * Willingness to learn and develop new skills
