P/T or F/T Telehealth Psychiatrist - NC

Schedule: P/T or F/T, flexible dayshift
Compensation: 1099 or W2
Location:telehealth - NC licensed required or compact license (PSYPACT).
Responsibilities:
* Psychiatrist must hold an active North Carolina (NC) medical license or compact license PSYPACT. * The Psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations for patients presenting in the Emergency Department (ED), perform psychiatric admission evaluations, and diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health disorders in an acute care hospital setting. * Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed * The psychiatrist will create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions. * Chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc. * The psychiatrist will maintain up to date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care. * Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed. * The psychiatrist will work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care. * Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management * Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards and/or contract.
Qualifications:
* Psychiatrist must hold an active North Carolina (NC) medical license. * 2 years of inpatient experience (trauma experience required) * Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry * Valid and unrestricted DEA * Must be proficient in using Telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely * Open to PMHNP collaboration (preferred)
