About the role

At Stark, we forge the future of European and national security through cutting-edge, AI-driven technology and unmatched engineering precision. As a premier defence technology company, our mission is clear: to equip NATO Allies and their partners  with next-generation autonomous defence platforms and advanced AI-driven software built to perform in the world’s most demanding environments.

We believe that true security stems from relentless innovation. By combining elite engineering talent with agile technology and an AI-native operational culture, Stark turns complex defence challenges into field-tested, multi-domain solutions.

WHY JOIN US

* The software and systems you work on directly protect personnel and defend European and national sovereignty. * You will work alongside industry-leading minds on autonomous systems, advanced propulsion, and secure cyber platforms. * We foster a fast-paced, collaborative environment where bold ideas are supported by serious R&D backing.

YOUR MISSION

As a Flight Dynamics Data / Software Engineer, you will own the end-to-end data pipelines and tooling supporting STARK's autonomous defence systems. You will design, build, and optimize scalable data architectures to capture, process, and analyze complex telemetry, sensor, and video data across multiple product lines. By automating data flows and creating high-performance internal tools, you will enable rapid decision-making, testing, and continuous deployment across all engineering teams.

WHAT YOU WILL DO AT STARK

* Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines for real-time ingestion and processing of telemetry, sensor, and video data. * Develop robust automation frameworks and internal tooling to stream data workflows across cross-functional STARK programs. * Architect cloud infrastructure and data storage solutions leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP to ensure high availability and low latency. * Collaborate with hardware, embedded, and software engineering teams to define data models, interface specs, and telemetry schemas. * Optimize data processing pipelines for high throughput, memory efficiency, and sub-second execution in mission-critical environments. * Implement comprehensive data quality, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively detect anomalies and operational issues. * Maintain rigorous software engineering standards, including unit testing, CI/CD practices, and clear technical documentation.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE MISSION

* Minimum 3 + years of experience in similar relevant roles * Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Rust, or Go. * Demonstrated hands-on experience building scalable data pipelines and data processing systems. * Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems, as well as object storage. * Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and cloud-native architectures. * Proven track record of working with high-volume telemetry, sensor data streams, or video data processing. * Experience creating developer tooling, CLI utilities, and automated CI/CD workflows. * Strong problem-solving mindset and solid foundation in software engineering and distributed systems. * Eligibility to obtain a German / NATO security clearance (EU / NATO citizenship required by national security regulations)

NICE TO HAVE

* Knowledge of machine learning and data science related concepts and applications. * Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. * Familiarity with defense, aerospace, or robotics domain applications.

If you're interested in building the future of European Defence with us, and you see yourself reflected on the description above, please send us your CV in English. We're looking forward to meeting you!

SECURITY CLEARANCE

Due to the nature of our work in the defence sector, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance required for this position. Details will be provided during the recruitment process.
