We are actively hiring a Software Engineer with TS/SCI w/ Poly to join our team working in Chantilly, VA. We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain complex software products and data platforms. As an integral member of our team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that drive business insights and inform strategic decisions. The ideal candidate has a passion for continuous learning, staying up-to-date with industry trends, and a willingness to learn new technologies and skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assume ownership of multiple COTS / GOTS production systems, ensuring seamless operations, maintenance, and support to meet customer requirements

· Collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to identify and prioritize project requirements

· Troubleshooting complex problems and providing customer support for software systems and application issues

· Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation

· Working in an Agile environment with a focus on iterative development and delivery

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.

· 5 to 10 years of related software development experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

· Hands-on experience with modern programming languages such as NodeJS or Python

· Experience with GOTS / COTS integration

· Strong understanding of Linux and experience with building APIs and services using REST

· Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker

· Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

· Experience with Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or other NoSQL databases

· Familiarity with monitoring technologies like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.

· Experience with CI / CD technologies like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD

· Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and iterative delivery
