Ciena is expanding its Interconnects business across China, Taiwan, and the broader Asia region, enabling next-generation AI, cloud, and compute infrastructure. This role provides technical leadership that connects customer requirements with optical interconnect and silicon solutions, influencingproductadoptionandlong-termbusinessgrowth.Thepositioncombinescustomer-facingengineeringengagementwithcross-functionalcollaborationacrossbusinessdevelopment,productmanagement,andengineeringteams.
Howyouwillmakeanimpact:
* Leadpre-salestechnicalengagementforCiena’sInterconnectsportfolioacrosshyperscalers,OEM/ODMs,andAI/computesystempartners.
* Drivelabbring-up,debugging,interoperabilityvalidation,configuration,andperformancetestingactivities.
* Translatecustomersystemarchitecturesandrequirementsintotechnicalsolutionrecommendationsandproductroadmapinput.
* Guidecomplexdesign-winopportunitiesfromevaluationthroughproductioninpartnershipwithbusinessdevelopmentandaccountteams.
* Serveastheprimarytechnicalinterfaceforproof-of-concepts,interoperabilityevents,complianceactivities,andearlydeployments.
* Delivertechnicalworkshops,productdemonstrations,architecturereviews,andexecutive-leveltechnicalpresentations.
* Gatherecosystem,competitive,silicon,andopticalinterconnectinsightstoinformproductlifecyclemanagementandroadmapalignment.
Themusthaves:
* Experience:~10yearsinsales/solutionsengineering,high-speedhardware,opticalinterconnect,siliconbring-up,ordatacentersystemsengineering.
* ApplicationofDSP/retimer,SERDES,optics/pluggables,AEC/ACC,PCIe,Ethernet,high-speedtestequipment,orrelatedtechnologies.
* ExperienceworkingdirectlywithAsia-basedhyperscalers,cloudbuilders,OEMs,orODMs.
* Utilizationofoscilloscopes,BERTs,IBIS-AMI,simulationtools,orsignalintegritytoolsfordebuggingandvalidationactivities.
* Education:Bachelor’sdegreeinElectricalEngineering,ComputerEngineering,orasimilarfield.
* FluentMandarinandprofessionalEnglishcommunicationskills,includingwrittenandspokencommunication.
* Documentation,presentation,andcommunicationskillssupportingcollaborationacrossengineering,productmanagement,andcommercialteams.
Nicetohaves:
* Education:Master’sdegreeinElectricalEngineering,ComputerEngineering,orasimilarfield.
* ReadingproficiencyinTraditionalChinesetosupportTaiwancustomerengagement.
