Job Description
As an Insurance Specialist (Sales) with Radius Insurance Solutions, you’ll act as a trusted broker for commercial clients, advising on the right motor insurance products and cover. You’ll handle inbound and outbound sales activity with leads provided, so there is no lead generation. Done well, you’ll convert leads into active commercial clients, meet your targets for conversion, retention and premium income, and build relationships that last.
Your week will be spent speaking to clients by phone and email, with occasional face-to-face meetings in the office. You’ll advise on cover, convert leads, answer queries, de-escalate complaints and resolve issues on time. You’ll work with insurers and internal colleagues to find the right solutions for clients and improve how we work, record every interaction accurately in line with compliance standards, and keep up to date with industry and regulatory changes.
Your daily responsibilities will be...
* Broking: Act as a broker for commercial clients, advising on appropriate motor insurance products and cover. * Lead conversion: Convert inbound and outbound leads into active commercial insurance clients. * Targets: Meet agreed sales targets and KPIs, including conversion rate, retention and premium income. * Client relationships: Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients. * Customer service: Handle client queries by phone and email, de-escalate complaints and resolve issues on time. * Collaboration: Work with insurers and internal stakeholders to deliver the right client solutions and improve workflows. * Compliance: Record all client interactions and transactions accurately in line with compliance standards and internal procedures. * Industry knowledge: Keep up to date with industry developments, regulatory changes and internal training.
Qualifications
What do we expect from you?
Essential:
* Holds the APA or CIP qualification. * Educated to degree level with a minimum 2:2 (Lower Second Class Honours). * Can explain motor insurance cover options clearly to a business client. * Is motivated by sales targets, including conversion and retention, and can describe how they have worked towards them. * Can calm an unhappy client and agree a way to resolve the issue. * Records client interactions accurately and follows set procedures.
Desirable:
* Has sold commercial or motor insurance. * Has worked with insurers to place cover for clients.
