We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our interdisciplinary clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who values collaborative medicine, individualized patient care, and the opportunity to help shape a growing treatment program.

Working closely with our Executive Director, Director of Nursing, therapists, case managers, and clinical staff, the Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric assessment, medication management, and ongoing clinical support to patients receiving inpatient detoxification and recovery services.

What You’ll Do

* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, admission assessments, and ongoing clinical assessments. * Diagnose and manage mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring diagnoses. * Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychotropic and other clinically appropriate medications within scope of practice. * Evaluate patient response to medications and address potential side effects, interactions, and contraindications. * Order, review, and interpret laboratory testing and other diagnostic information as clinically indicated. * Collaborate with the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. * Provide patients and families with medication education, health education, and recovery-focused clinical guidance. * Identify changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions, referrals, or escalation of care. * Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation within Kipu EMR. * Participate in treatment-team meetings, case consultations, staff meetings, quality initiatives, and required compliance training. * Support clinical quality, patient safety, and continuity of care throughout the detoxification and recovery process. * Maintain compliance with HIPAA, professional standards of practice, organizational policies, and applicable state and federal regulatory requirements.

What We’re Looking For

* Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited program. * Current Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification. * Active and unrestricted authorization to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia. * Current DEA registration and appropriate prescribing authority. * Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience preferred, particularly within behavioral health, psychiatry, addiction medicine, detoxification, or substance use treatment. * Experience working with patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders strongly preferred. * Experience with Kipu or another behavioral health EMR is a plus. * Strong assessment, medication-management, clinical documentation, and organizational skills. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary treatment team. * Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. * Experience working within a startup, expanding, or rapidly growing behavioral health program is highly valued.

Schedule

This is a full-time position supporting a 24/7 inpatient treatment environment. Scheduling flexibility is important, and weekend coverage may occasionally be required based on patient-care and operational needs.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

* Inpatient behavioral health and detoxification clinical environment. * Regular interaction with patients, clinical staff, and interdisciplinary treatment-team members. * Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. * Ability to navigate the facility, including stairs when necessary during emergency drills, evacuations, or facility activities.
