About the role

Strategic Account Manager

Remote EMEA

FoodChain ID is looking for a results-driven Strategic Account Manager (SAM) to strengthen and grow relationships with our Mid-Market customers.

In this role, you'll serve as a trusted strategic partner, uncover new business opportunities, and drive revenue growth by connecting customer needs with FoodChain ID's broad portfolio of solutions, including software, data, testing, certification, and regulatory services.

We're looking for a commercially minded relationship builder who thrives on identifying opportunities, collaborating across teams, and delivering measurable results.

What You'll Do

* Drive Account Growth: Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on customer retention, cross-selling, upselling, and expanding share of wallet.

* Own Revenue Targets: Manage an assigned customer portfolio, individual bookings goals, expansion pipeline, and revenue forecasts.

* Build Strategic Partnerships: Establish trusted relationships with key stakeholders, senior leaders, and executive decision-makers.

* Identify New Opportunities: Uncover customer needs and collaborate with specialist sales teams to deliver integrated solutions.

* Strengthen Customer Retention: Proactively manage renewal opportunities, identify risks, and protect existing revenue.

* Lead Customer Engagement: Conduct strategic business reviews, customer meetings, and on-site visits to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities.

* Deliver Results: Leverage Salesforce, customer insights, and pipeline data to manage opportunities, forecast accurately, and consistently achieve KPIs.

What You'll Bring

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

* 5+ years of experience in strategic account management, consultative B2B sales, or customer growth.

* Proven success achieving sales quotas and growing existing accounts through cross-selling, upselling, and solution expansion.

* Experience managing complex customer portfolios, renewals, commercial negotiations, and qualified sales pipelines.

* Strong ability to build executive-level relationships and navigate multiple customer stakeholders.

* Experience using CRM tools, ideally Salesforce, to manage opportunities, reporting, and forecasting.

* Experience in software/SaaS, data, professional services, testing, certification, regulatory solutions, or similar complex solution-based environments.

* Industry experience in food and beverage, consumer products, regulatory compliance, quality, sustainability, supply chain, or related sectors.

* Familiarity with customer success, account-based marketing, and cross-functional sales strategies.

* Ability to travel as needed to support customer relationships.

Why FoodChain ID?

At FoodChain ID, our work helps customers navigate complex challenges across food safety, quality, regulatory compliance, and supply chain transparency. You'll have the opportunity to build meaningful customer partnerships while helping organizations access the solutions they need to succeed.

You'll work with well-known food and beverage businesses on important issues such as food safety and more sustainable ingredients, with exposure to senior customer contacts and FoodChain ID leaders. You'll be part of a close team where your contribution is visible, and strong performance can open a path toward Global Account Manager responsibilities and larger, more complex accounts.
