About Lowry Research

Founded in 1938 and acquired by CFRA in 2021, Lowry Research provides independent technical market analysis to investment professionals. Our proprietary methodology uses daily price and volume data from NYSE and Nasdaq-listed stocks to evaluate market supply and demand, identify trends, and assess market conditions. This temporary, part-time Technical Research Analyst position offers an opportunity to contribute to Lowry Research's proprietary technical research for Lowry and CFRA clients globally.

This is a fully remote, temporary position based in the United States, expected to last approximately two months at 25 hours per week.

We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform technical market analysis using Lowry Research's proprietary data, indicators, and methodology. * Prepare daily market commentary and regular technical research reports covering market trends, sectors, industry groups, ETFs, and individual equities. * Monitor and interpret market breadth, volume, momentum, relative strength, and other technical indicators. * Support Senior Analysts in identifying market trends and developing technical research themes. * Assist with recurring research publications, market updates, and data analysis. * Maintain research databases and indicators, supporting improvements and automation where applicable. * Collaborate with technical and fundamental research teams and participate in internal meetings as needed.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred. * Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation or progress toward certification preferred. * Demonstrated experience in technical market analysis or investment research incorporating technical indicators. * Experience analyzing market breadth, volume, momentum, trend, and relative strength indicators across equities, ETFs, sectors, and industry groups. * Experience writing investment research reports, market commentary, or other financial publications. * Strong analytical, writing, and Microsoft Excel skills, with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint. * Ability to interpret market data, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly and concisely. * Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
