Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours
About the Role
We’re looking for an Inside Sales Supervisor to help manage and grow the day-to-day sales operation while leading a small sales/customer service team.
You’ll work directly with company leadership and own the sales lifecycle from inbound inquiries through quoting, closing, shipping coordination, and post-sale follow-up. You’ll also coach a two-person support team, delegate tasks, and help ensure customers receive a strong experience throughout the sales process.
This is a high-autonomy, startup-like environment suited to someone who is confident speaking with customers, enjoys coaching a small team, and is comfortable solving different problems each day.
What You’ll Own
Inbound Sales & Customer Communication
* Answer incoming calls and emails from current customers and leads. * Demonstrate strong knowledge of the company’s products. * Determine the appropriate next steps for each customer inquiry.
Sales & Closing
* Manage customer inquiries throughout the sales process. * Prepare quotes and close orders. * Answer customer questions and complete required paperwork. * Take ownership of opportunities from inquiry through close.
Lead Follow-Up
* Maintain long-term leads through consistent and proactive follow-up. * Keep opportunities moving forward through timely communication. * Identify when additional team support or follow-up is needed.
Team Leadership & Delegation
* Coach a two-person sales/customer service support team on customer communication. * Delegate tasks to team members when appropriate. * Help the team stay organized and responsive to customer needs.
Post-Sale Coordination
* Monitor the post-sale process and shipping experience. * Help resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction. * Maintain strong customer relationships after the sale.
Required Experience & Skills
* Strong sales and customer communication skills. * Comfortable working remotely and independently. * Comfortable spending up to half of the day on the phone. * Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and resourceful. * Strong communicator who can manage multiple priorities. * Experience in sales, customer support, and managing a small team is preferred. * Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office is a plus. * Familiarity with public safety training or firearms industry products is a plus but not required. * No formal education or specific experience requirements.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
* You take ownership of the entire sales process rather than focusing only on individual tasks. * You’re confident speaking with customers and handling sales conversations. * You’re persistent and organized when managing long-term leads. * You enjoy coaching and supporting a small team. * You’re comfortable making decisions independently in a high-autonomy environment. * You’re resourceful and able to solve unexpected problems. * You’re proactive and interested in helping shape a growing company rather than simply executing assigned tasks.
