Every student deserves access to meaningful learning. At Candor Consulting & Diagnostics, your expertise helps students who are blind or have low vision access the curriculum, participate in school activities, and develop skills for greater independence.

We’re hiring a full-time Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments (TVI) who brings specialized knowledge, creativity, and a collaborative approach to serving students. Join a team that values your professional judgment, supports your growth, and understands that your life outside work matters, too.

Why Join Candor?

You invest your time and talent in helping students succeed. Here’s how we invest in you:

* Competitive hourly pay: Starting at $50.00 per hour, with compensation for all time worked.

* Comprehensive benefits: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance options for eligible employees.

* Support for your future: A 401(k) plan with matching contributions for eligible employees.

* Professional growth: Mentorship opportunities and professional development reimbursement to help you strengthen your skills and advance your practice.

* Referral rewards: Earn up to $1,000 in referral bonuses when you help us connect with talented professionals.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You’ll help students access instruction in ways that reflect their strengths and individual learning needs. You will:

* Understand each student’s needs. Conduct functional vision evaluations and learning media assessments, prepare clear reports, and use findings to guide educational recommendations.

* Provide specialized instruction. Deliver direct instruction and consultative support aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).

* Make materials accessible. Adapt or coordinate access to braille, large print, tactile graphics, audio, and accessible digital materials based on assessed needs.

* Build skills for independence. Provide instruction in appropriate areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum, including braille literacy, assistive technology, organization, self-advocacy, and independent living skills, as identified in the IEP.

* Track progress and adjust instruction. Collect student data, maintain accurate records, and use progress monitoring to guide instruction and communicate growth.

* Partner with families and school teams. Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and collaborate with families, teachers, Orientation and Mobility specialists, and related service providers to support access and participation.

What You’ll Bring

* A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

* Valid Texas certification authorizing service as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments.

* Knowledge of functional vision evaluations, learning media assessments, and IEP development and implementation.

* Skills in braille instruction, accessible learning materials, assistive technology, and the Expanded Core Curriculum.

* Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

* Experience teaching or supporting students who are blind or have low vision is preferred.
