As our Infection Preventionist, you'll keep residents and team members safe across the whole campus.
What you'll do
* Run the infection prevention and control program for every care setting on campus * Track infections, spot trends, and turn the data into clear reports and action plans * Teach and coach nurses and CNAs on infection prevention practices * Do regular rounds and audits on each unit * Lead employee health programs for team members * Work with clinical leaders, the local health department, and state regulators on reporting and survey readiness * Mentor nursing staff and serve as the go-to clinical resource for infection questions
What you'll need
Required:
* 1 year or more as an Infection Preventionist in Senior Living * Experience teaching or training staff * Current Illinois RN license * Completion of the CDC Nursing Home Infection Preventionist Training Course, or equivalent, within 30 days of hire (Illinois requirement) * Comfort analyzing data and writing reports
Preferred:
* APIC Fundamentals of Surveillance, Prevention, and Control, or CIC certification
