AvaMed Workforce is hiring a Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) or Registered Nurse (RN) for a 6-month contract at Pelican Bay State Prison in Crescent City, CA (Medical, 8-hour shifts, 2 weeks of orientation).
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
* Location: Pelican Bay State Prison, Crescent City, CA * Dates: 11/30/2026 - 05/30/2027 * Shift: Thursday-Monday, 1:30 PM-10:00 PM (Evenings), 30-minute meal * Orientation: 2 weeks * Pay: Contact us for details
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide nursing and psychiatric care to incarcerated patients * Give medications and treatments and document care accurately * Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with providers and custody * Follow all safety, security and contraband procedures
REQUIREMENTS
* Active California LPT license (BVNPT) or California RN license (BRN) * Current BLS (AHA) * Correctional or behavioral health experience preferred * Background check and facility security clearance * TB test, immunizations and facility health clearances
