Job Summary
Pittsburgh, PA | Mt. Washington

Hours:
* Monday - Friday, start time of 8-10 AM and end time of 4-6 pm * Guaranteed 40 hours/week * Schedule confirmed the Thursday before
Hourly Rate: $28
Children: 5.5-month-old
No Pets
Paid Vacation:
* 3 days of family’s choice * 3 days of nanny’s choice * 2 sick or personal days
Requirements:
* Standard vaccinations, including up to date flu vaccine * MMR with proof of vaccination required. * Covid booster not required
Responsibilities and Duties
WHO/WHAT: SIX MONTHS, ONE SMILEY BABY, AND A WHOLE LOT OF LITTLE MILESTONES! Sometimes the best opportunities come in smaller packages! A wonderfully friendly Mt. Washington family is searching for a nurturing, creative caregiver to spend six months with their sweet baby boy. With 40 guaranteed hours and parents who genuinely value intentional childcare, this could be a fantastic opportunity for a nanny seeking a shorter commitment OR someone looking to gain their first private nanny experience!
Now, let's talk about the little guy who'll be stealing most of your attention (and probably your heart). Born five weeks early, this sweet boy made his debut ahead of schedule and spent his early days in the NICU. These days, he's a calm, smiley little fellow with a growing list of favorite things: colorful patterns, picture books, rattles, and being carried around like the VIP he is. He's also quite the conversationalist—or at least an excellent listener! If you're the nanny who narrates everything from folding laundry to making a bottle, you've found your audience.
Mom and Dad believe there's a time for everything: a time to nap, a time to eat, and plenty of time to PLAY! They love a predictable routine but want those awake hours packed with imagination, discovery, and good old-fashioned baby fun. Think sensory adventures, silly songs, books with ALL the voices, and plenty of fresh air. They've watched their daughter thrive with creative, engaging activities at daycare and would love to bring that same energy into their son's world. Speaking of big sister, she's an almost-two-year-old bundle of energy who keeps life interesting! Thankfully, she'll be off charming her daycare teachers during your workday, leaving you and baby brother plenty of one-on-one time. Neighborhood walks are encouraged, and an occasional library adventure would be icing on the cake if you're comfortable driving!
And because even the most adorable babies come with laundry and dishes, you'll lend a hand with bottles (bonus points: they have a bottle washer!), children's laundry, simple meal prep, tidying play spaces, dishes, and a few light household tasks. You'll enjoy 40 guaranteed hours each week, with a little flexibility in start and end times. Mom and Dad will confirm your schedule each Thursday for the following week, so you'll always know what the next week holds.
