This is a great opportunity to help define our end-to-end automation stack, joining a team of skilled software engineers developing across the full stack down to bare metal. We're tackling new and critical problems, building products ranging from energy weapons to AI-powered sensors and drone swarm defense. As we enhance, scale, and deploy our systems, we need SDETs who are eager to learn, contribute meaningfully, and grow their skills alongside a talented team.

Responsibilities:

* Building and maintaining UI Test Automation infrastructure

* Developing and maintaining a suite of UI driven end-to-end tests

* Ensuring execution environments are maintained including simulation, HIL and on system

* Building out automated test run infrastructure and monitoring CI/CD

* Leveraging AI tooling to improve our automated testing process including metrics and reports

* Documenting tests, organizing test reviews and communicating test coverage clearly to stakeholders

* Assisting with our UI release pipeline and release documentation

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

* Minimum of 5 years of professional software development in test, test automation, or software engineering experience

* Experience building and maintaining end-to-end automated test suites for web-based applications

* Strong working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript

* Experience testing React applications and modern front-end architectures

* Experience with automated testing in CI/CD environments, including test execution, failure triage, and reporting

* Experience developing test plans, test cases, and coverage strategies aligned to product and engineering requirements

* Experience working with cross-functional teams to validate features, triage issues, and improve product quality

* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including communicating test status, release risk, and quality outcomes to stakeholders

Preferred Skills and Experience:

* Experience testing across simulated, hardware-in-the-loop, or production-representative environments

* Hands-on experience with Playwright UI automation and regression testing

* Experience building/maintaining test infrastructure and tooling

* Familiarity with release validation, release documentation, and signoff processes

* Experience monitoring and improving CI health, including flaky test reduction and test stability improvements

* Experience with unit, integration, and API testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, or similar tools

Additional Requirements:

* This is a hybrid role based in Torrance, CA, with an expectation of 4 days per week in the office to support team collaboration and cross-functional alignment.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

* To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
