What you’ll do
HVAC/R & Facilities Maintenance
* Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems (WIC/R, RTUs, exhaust fans, hoods, make-up air units, DOAS systems) * Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across multiple sites * Support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation systems
Facilities Operations Support
* Conduct site inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently * Handle basic electrical and plumbing maintenance as needed * Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work
System Performance & Troubleshooting
* Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and diagnose issues * Provide remote troubleshooting support to onsite teams and vendors * Review reports (startup, testing, balancing) to verify system performance
New Site Support
* Assist with new facility openings by verifying installation and system functionality * Identify issues early and coordinate corrective actions
What your week looks like
* 70% hands-on HVAC/R maintenance & repair * 20% troubleshooting & diagnostics (onsite + remote) * 10% inspections, reporting, and system verification
What we’re looking for
Required
* 4+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience * Experience working with rooftop units, ventilation systems, or refrigeration(WIC/F) * Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills * Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites locally
Preferred
* HVAC Universal certification (EPA, trade school, or equivalent) * Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site facilities * Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
Work Environment & Schedule
* Field-based role in Newark, NJ area * Local travel between sites (home daily) * Monday–Friday schedule with on-call rotation and overtime opportunities
