About the role

Job Description

You’ll play an essential role in building the learning journey for one of our most important retail leadership populations: AssistantStore Managers (ASM). You’ll lead the development of a structured ASM onboarding journey and help shape the ongoing development experiences that support ASMs in growing their capability, confidence, and impact as our retail business scales. You bring a builder’s mindset, program management skills, and an understanding of how learning needs to work in a fast paced retail environment. You’ll create practical, connected learning experiences that meet learners where they are, reinforce learning through leaders and on-the-job practice, and evolve as the needs of our teams and business grow. You’ll report to the Director, Retail Learning & Development and work closely with our Retail Learning team to create continuity across our retail leadership journeys. You’ll also partner with our teams across Retail, People & Culture, and HQ L&D to bring those experiences to life.

What you'll get to do:

* Build and own the Assistant Store Manager learning journey from onboarding through ongoing development, defining clear expectations, milestones, and measures of readiness in partnership with Retail leaders and People & Culture. * Own the rollout and implementation of the ASM learning journey, partnering with the Director, Retail L&D on the change management and rollout strategy for current and future ASM populations, and supporting adoption and sustainment across the business. * Translate the needs of the Assistant Store Manager role into a structured onboarding path, establishing a consistent foundation while building flexibility for specialty area, experience level, and store needs. * Program-manage the learning journey end-to-end, including priorities, milestones, partner inputs, learner communications, implementation, progress tracking, launch readiness, measurement, and continuous improvement. * Build on and connect existing Retail Learning and HQ L&D programs, tools, and resources to create a cohesive ASM experience, identifying where existing learning can be leveraged or adapted and where new solutions are needed. * Partner withRetail Learning,HQ L&D and the Retail Admin team to develop net-new learning experiences, tools, and resources specific to the Assistant Store Manager audience, translating identified capability needs into scalable enablement across the learning journey. * Assess and gather feedback from learners and stakeholders to refine and ensure retail onboarding programs and experiences remain impactful, meet objectives and communicate these findings as appropriate. * Partner with Retail leadership and training teams to ensure effective adaptation and adoption of programs across a growing community of store leadership teams. * Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions as necessary for onboarding programs and other retail L&D programs as needed. * Experiment with innovative approaches to learning that drive engagement and align with our shared traditions and brand. * Support the growth and development of the Retail Learning team as it continues to scale.

Qualifications

Who you are:

* 6+ years of relevant professional experience, with experience in a store environment; store leadership preferred. * Experience building or evolving end-to-end learning journeys (not just single events), including onboarding, reinforcement, and manager activation for retail or frontline employee populations. * Proven ability to lead retail onboarding or ongoing learning programs across a distributed store network. * Proven ability to drive change and adoption across distributed retail teams in a fast-changing environment. * Skilled in creating blended learning experiences (workshops, peer learning, self-directed learning, and on-the-job practice) that work in a fast-paced retail environment. * Strong program and project management skills, from concept and planning through implementation, measurement, and continuous improvement. * Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills; able to build and maintain relationships across all levels. * Highly organized with strong time management skills; able to set and manage expectations and competing priorities. * Strong facilitation and written communication skills with strong attention to detail. * Strong project management skills, from concept, to planning, to implementation, to results measurement.
