About the role
MCS is hiring for an Audio Visual Helper in Tampa, FL. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.
The Audio Visual Helper will assist experienced technicians with the installation, testing, and maintenance of Audio Visual, data, voice, networking, and fiber optic systems on commercial job sites. The Audio Visual Helper will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.
Typical duties include: * Assist technicians with the installation of Audio Visual, data, voice, network, and fiber optic cabling systems. * Reading and interpreting blueprints. * Pull, route, label, and organize low-voltage cabling. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Assist with mounting displays, speakers, cameras, racks, and other A/V equipment. * Working flexible hours including nights and/or weekends.
Required: Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Certification Requirements: Ability to obtain a Florida State JLA (Jessica Lunsford Act) Badge. * OSHA 10 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
Experience Requirements: * Previous construction, electrical, low-voltage, or Audio Visual experience is a plus but not required. * Ability to travel to project sites outside of the Tampa Bay Area. * Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction site safety.
