About the role

Solvarus Consulting is dedicated to solving the toughest challenges facing the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. Join our team of experienced engineers in the development and institutionalization of a Digital Engineering environment across complex GEOINT systems and capabilities. As a Solvarus team member, you will serve as a Systems Engineer providing end-to-end Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services to a National Customer. Key Responsibilities:

Systems Engineering and Requirements

· Assists the Government in directing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG) and Federal Agencies.

· Capture and translate mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements and technical solutions.

· Advise the Government on proposed solution design changes based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies.

Integration

· Lead Analyses of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Actions (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments.

· Advise customers on strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.

· Provide technical expertise related to vision, strategy, plans, mission needs, requirements, processes, and capability development.

· Integrate multiple systems across organizational, agency, department, and governmental/national boundaries.

Program Leadership

· Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to contractor engineering teams.

· Oversee and coordinate the work of Senior, Mid-, and Junior level Systems Engineers.

· Apply expertise to complex, multi-stakeholder programs supporting mission-critical GEOINT capabilities.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical/scientific field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline; or equivalent additional experience (4 years with no degree or 2 years with a non-STEM degree).

· 18+ years of experience working in government or industry in relevant areas, including DoD/IC acquisition processes, requirements processes, PPBES processes, or systems engineering of large, complex Systems of Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) environments operating in cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures.

· Strong understanding and demonstrated experience across the systems engineering lifecycle.

· Extensive experience preparing and delivering briefings, technical papers, or engineering-related presentations to senior Government and customer staff

· Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG/ASG enterprises.

· Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program or project experience.

· Proven ability to excel as a self-driven engineer working under light supervision and frequently with only high-level guidance for project needs.

· Previous IC or DoD program/project experience.

· TS/SCI clearance adjudication or the ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph.

Desired Qualifications

· Master’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical/scientific field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline.

· Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages.

· INCOSE Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.

· Membership or leadership participation in professional organizations such as:

OGC

SAREM

USGIF

· Extensive experience in Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT).

· Experience engineering solutions using cloud-based technologies.

· Experience engineering solutions employing Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial/Super Intelligence technologies.

· Demonstrated expertise in remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems (GIS), geomatics, or related disciplines.

· Currently active TS/SCI Clearance with Poly
