Hourly/Non-Exempt Reports to: County Manager
Summary: As Dispatcher, coordinate the movements of means of transport vans and buses by communicating with Drivers through computers, phones and two-way radios. Assign drivers to their respective vehicles and ensure that time schedules are maintained.
Essential Duties Dispatcher: * Answer phones at a high volume * Schedule drivers and make vehicle assignments * Communicate any changes to drivers and clients * Keep track of the progress that drivers make along their routes. * Follow the routes taken by the drivers * Check the drivers’ in and out time and transfer these records into files * Handle any requests and/or complaints communicated by the clients. * Verify eligibility and schedule agency services for clients * Other duties as assigned
Skills: * Strong communication skills both written and verbal
* Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize work independently * Ability to work with computers and other office equipment *
Requirements: * Must be able to sit for long periods of time * High School Diploma or equivalent. * Pre-Employment, Post-Accident, Random and Reasonable Suspicion Drug Screens * National Background Check
