Resonetics Hutchinson is looking for a Machinist Apprentice to join their team. Flexible hours available to work around school schedule.
The Machinist Co-op supports the manufacture of components and devices for the medical device industry while attending schooling in a related accredited program.
Responsibilities
* Translate requirements of detailed part drawings and job instructions into machining methods to accurately create finished parts. * Set up and operate CNC machining equipment (while being Supervised by full-time Resonetics machinist). * Set up and operate manual machining equipment, this includes lathes, mills, grinders, etc. * Perform necessary side operations during machine cycle time as required. * Provide assistance to others and may be required to move to other machines if needed. * Employee must conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner and is responsible for maintaining a high standard of conduct and job performance. * Ensure written manufacturing and other procedures are being followed. * Ensure proper compliance with company policies and quality regulations. * Focus on safety and follow all safety rules and requirements. * Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
* High School Diploma or Equivalent. * Students must be enrolled in the Machine Tool Technology program. * Student must be in good standing with the school and maintaining a C average or better. * Strong mechanical and technical abilities. * Able to read technical data such as blueprints and routings. * Machinist Math, GD&T, Inspection methods. * Be able to conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner and is responsible for maintaining a high standard of conduct and job performance. * Shift is flexible & can be changed to accommodate current courses/schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
* Understanding of G and M code. * Proven understanding of tooling requirements to setup and operate machines in the departments, including pre-setting of tools.
