Responsibilities
* Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. * Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability. * Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols. * Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration to promote proper nutrition. * Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life and mental well-being. * Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control standards. * Document care activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems accurately and promptly.
Qualifications
* Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred. * Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and behavior management techniques. * Ability to perform vital sign measurements and medication administration competently. * Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personal support. * Certification or training in first aid is advantageous; willingness to obtain necessary certifications if not already held. * Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. * Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred for community outings or errands.
