Job Description

What you’ll do…

Be there for our people

* Be a friendly and approachable first point of contact for our teams, answering day-to-day People & Culture questions and knowing when to involve the wider team. * Build strong relationships with team members and managers, helping them feel supported throughout their time at Ennismore. * Work closely with the People & Culture Manager to provide clear, practical guidance on our people processes and policies.  * Handle sensitive information with care, discretion and a thoughtful approach.

Support the employee journey

* Manage the administration of key moments throughout the employee journey, from someone accepting their offer to their last day with us. * Make sure our new peeps have a great joining experience, alongside preparing contracts and starter paperwork, completing right to work and reference checks, arranging system and equipment set-up, and coordinating inductions. * Keep in touch with new starters and managers before and after their start date, helping everyone feel prepared and settled. * Track probation periods and support managers with the paperwork and conversations that come with them. * Prepare changes to employment, letters, and other people-related documents. * Coordinate the leaver process, including paperwork, exit interviews and making sure the right teams have the information they need.

Grow your advisory and employee relations experience

* Support managers with everyday people matters, including absence, performance, and probation, helping them understand the next steps and where to find guidance. * Work alongside the People & Culture Manager on employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinaries, and grievances, helping to coordinate meetings, prepare documents and keep records up to date. * Take ownership of more straightforward queries and cases as your experience grows, with support and guidance. * Spot concerns or patterns early and raise them, helping us take a fair, consistent, and thoughtful approach. * Keep up to date with employment legislation and changes to our policies, building your confidence in applying them to day-to-day situations.

Keep our people data and processes in good shape

* Keep employee information and our People platforms in good shape, including recording changes, absences, and other key information. * You’ll be involved in the monthly payroll and benefits process, making sure people changes are accurate and submitted on time. * Prepare and support monthly people reporting, including data on headcount, absence, turnover, and other trends. * Help us stay organised and compliant through regular checks, accurate records and a keen eye for anything that doesn’t look quite right.

Bring learning, engagement and culture to life

* Coordinate training sessions and learning programmes, communications, attendance and all the details that help sessions run smoothly. * Keep training records up to date and support with reporting on participation. * You’ll take the lead on engagement activities, communications and events that help our Home Base team feel connected. * Support on people projects and initiatives across the employee journey, from wellbeing and development to giving back to our communities. * Bring your ideas to the table and help make them happen.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for…

* You have previous experience in a People & Culture or HR role and are ready to build on what you’ve learned. * You’ve had some exposure to employee relations or supporting managers with people matters, and you’re keen to develop your confidence and knowledge. * You have a good understanding of the basics of UK employment practices and are curious about keeping your knowledge up to date. * You’re a natural people person who enjoys building relationships and supporting the people around you. You’re approachable, and people feel comfortable coming to you. * You’re organised, proactive and have an eagle eye for detail, even when you’re spinning multiple plates. * You take ownership, follow things through and make sure nothing gets missed. * You’re comfortable using systems and platforms. * You can handle sensitive situations with care, use good judgement and know when to ask for support. * You’re happy rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck into everything from administration and reporting to people projects and manager queries. * You’re looking for a place where you can be you. No clones in suits here. * You leave your ego at the door, enjoy doing things differently and want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun along the way.
