About the role

Company Profile

CloudMargin is an award-winning, growth-stage FinTech company offering an innovative Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. We are changing the way financial and corporate institutions manage the collateral and risk associated with derivatives trading, and we believe in offering our community an affordable, scalable service that is easy to deploy.

We are backed by institutional and corporate investors, and our global team works closely across product, technology and sales. Our flat structure and culture of openness mean you’ll work with everyone in the business, and our senior leadership team will be one of your key stakeholders.

Primary Purpose of Role

CloudMargin is a core platform for our clients’ collateral and margin processes. Our clients expect it to be available, reliable, fast and accurate, even as we release continuously. As a Product Owner, you’ll work with our Product Managers to define and deliver key roadmap priorities. You’ll be the expert in the areas your team owns, balancing new features against bugs, performance, technical debt and client issues.

Core Accountabilities

* Team Roadmap: You’ll own your team’s roadmap and keep it current as priorities change, working with Product Managers to define and deliver key priorities through to client adoption. * Product Area Expertise: You’ll be the expert in the areas of the platform your team owns, including how clients use them and where they fall short. You’ll find improvements and make the case for them. * Defining the Solution: You’ll work with engineers, UX designers and subject matter experts to decide how each problem is solved. * User Stories & Backlog: You’ll gather needs from clients, internal teams, support and usage data, turn them into user stories with testable acceptance criteria, and prioritise them in your team’s backlog. * Product Health: You’ll own bugs, performance and technical debt in your team’s areas, and plan them into the roadmap alongside new features. * Client Issues & Unplanned Work: You’ll own how client issues and urgent requests reach your team, and how they are triaged and escalated. You’ll reserve realistic capacity for them each sprint, and turn repeat issues into roadmap items. * Risk & Change Communication: You’ll manage delivery risks and cross-team dependencies, and keep the people affected informed about changes, releases and deprecations. * Stakeholder Communication: You’ll be the main point of contact for your team’s product areas, both internally and with clients, managing expectations and explaining decisions clearly. * Continuous Improvement & Team Growth: You’ll keep improving how your team works, and encourage learning and knowledge sharing.

Experience

Essential

* You have at least 3 years’ experience as a Product Owner at a B2B SaaS company, ideally in FinTech or financial services. * You have taken products or features from idea to launch. * You have balanced new features against bugs, performance and technical debt on a live product. * You have worked in Agile teams (for example Scrum or Kanban) and apply Agile practices pragmatically.

Desirable

* Experience in capital markets, particularly derivatives, collateral or margin, is a significant advantage.

Skills

* Leadership: You guide and inspire your team towards shared goals. * Prioritisation & Trade-offs: You decide what matters most when stakeholders want different things, and hold that line under pressure with clear reasoning. * Technical Credibility: You earn engineers’ trust by engaging with the substance of their work. You weigh technical concerns alongside client and business needs, and respect the team’s expertise. * Communication: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can make an evidence-based case for bug, performance and technical debt work, up to senior leadership. * Organisation & Detail: You manage multiple tasks and stay on top of date-sensitive commitments, such as client deadlines and regulatory changes. * Problem Solving: You take a logical, systematic approach to identifying and resolving issues. * AI Fluency: You use AI tools to work faster, for example to draft acceptance criteria or analyse support and usage data, and you check the output before relying on it. * Resilience: You handle pressure and setbacks calmly and stay focused on solutions. * Teamwork: You put the team first, and build collaboration and mutual respect.

Education / Professional Qualifications

* Ideally, you hold a recognised Product Owner qualification, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
