SMS Staffing is hiring Shipping & Receiving Associates in Spring Grove, IL!
Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Associate Location: Spring Grove, IL 60081 Pay Rate: $17.00–$18.00/hr. Schedule: Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Position Type: Temp-to-hire
Are you organized, dependable, and good at keeping things moving? We’re looking for Shipping & Receiving Associates who take pride in their work, pay attention to detail, and enjoy working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Position Summary: Responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, organizing inventory, preparing shipping documentation, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse.
Key Responsibilities for Shipping and Receiving Associate:
* Pack, unpack, and process orders. * Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments. * Load and unload packages from trucks. * Prepare shipping labels and maintain accurate records. * Organize inventory and label deliveries. * Process returns and report damaged or incorrect shipments. * Maintain a clean and safe work environment. * Follow all warehouse safety procedures and shipping regulations.
Qualifications for Shipping and Receiving Associate: * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Good communicator. * Basic computer skills. * Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently. * Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred. * High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Requirements: * Frequently lift to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs. * Ability to perform physical warehouse duties safely. * Able to walk and stand for extended periods throughout the work shift.
