We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This will be a key role in our accounting function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.
* Prepare journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
* Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
* Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
* Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
* Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards
Qualifications & Skills:
* Preferred undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2 - 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
* Advanced Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions)
* Experience with ERP system like Sage Intacct preferred.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication (verbal and written), organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
* Ability to work independently on deliverables to achieve accurate results.
* Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and maintain excellent communication regarding deliverables.
* Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively with members of the senior management team and others within the Company
