Product Modification/Repair Technician

The Boeing Company is seeking an Product Modification/Repair Technician to join our Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) team in Heath, OH.
Position Responsibilities:
* Assists with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes * Assists with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components * Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components * Fabricates and modifies aerospace products according to specifications * Assists with and performs tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations * Works under supervision
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* This position requires an active U.S. Confidential Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) * Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) * 1+ years of experience working with tools and following work instructions * Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications * Willingness to work with Beryllium and/or other chemical elements
Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* Experience in the inspection of parts, components, assemblies or units * 1+ years experience soldering and assembly of equipment components * 1+ more years experience using handheld tools and/or power tools * Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and specifications * 1+ more years working under a microscope

This role is primarily second shift; however, there may be additional shift requirements to support program objectives.

Summary Pay Range: $48,450 - $65,550
