About the role
Kids First is a growing multidisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic in Rockland County, NY, providing comprehensive services including behavioral health, speech therapy, and occupational therapy. We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our Behavioral Health team and provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management services for children and adolescents. Responsibilities: * Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for children and adolescents * Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric follow-up care * Develop individualized treatment recommendations in collaboration with families and treatment teams * Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust interventions as clinically appropriate * Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other pediatric providers to ensure coordinated care * Provide psychoeducation and support to parents/caregivers * Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
Qualifications: * Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in New York State * Experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred * Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively * Compassionate, family-centered approach to care
