As part of our, Contract division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Support Operator on a full time permanent basis!
This position is responsible for debriefing drivers on a daily basis alongside providing general administration support to the Transport team.
Salary: £28,181 per annum.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am-6pm.
Key Duties of a Transport Support Operator:
* Correctly debriefing drivers. * Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly. * Scanning and storing PODs using the document management system. * Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information. * Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required. * Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries. * Downloading drivers’ cards / tachographs. * Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services. * Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets. * Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS). * Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
Qualifications
What you’ll need ...
* Attention to detail / accuracy. * Ability to work without direct supervision. * Positive and adaptable attitude. * Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information. * Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure. * Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines. * Good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office e.g. PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
