COBOL CICS Engineer requires:
* COBOL, CICS, VSAM, MQ, JCL, * Knowledge of SQL Server, Java
COBOL CICS Engineer duties:
* Develop from scratch CICS programs that can facilitate read/write to both VSAM and MQ in the same program * Write CICS programs that can orchestrate the execution of both legacy and new CICS transactions in the same unit of work * Analyze and decompose complex CICS software systems and collaborate with and influence others to improve the overall design * Serve as the SME in CICS Development and Support * Troubleshoot and fix financial software problems as they occur * Make recommendations to Production Support, Development, and IT Management to streamline infrastructure and application performance to improve the overall customer experience * Act as a key advisor to Technical Leads, Senior IT team members on Infrastructure and Architecture projects * Guide and participate in training other members of the team
