Job Summary
The Saw Operator is responsible for safely operating saw equipment to cut metal materials according to specifications. This position requires the ability to accurately read a tape measure, move heavy materials, and operate an overhead crane while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate saw machines to cut metal materials to required dimensions. * Read and accurately use a tape measure to ensure precise cuts. * Load, unload, and move heavy materials and carts throughout the production area. * Safely operate an overhead crane to transport materials. * Perform basic machine setup and routine inspections. * Verify material dimensions and quality before and after cutting. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements.
Qualifications
* Ability to accurately read a tape measure. * Ability to lift, push, and move heavy materials and carts. * Experience operating an overhead crane is preferred. * Previous manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is a plus. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
